Done away with TVDL and One Day Introductory Course Certificate

This is to inform the general public that the need for a separate Tourist Vehicle Driving License  and One Day Introductory Course Certificate has been done away, instead a mandatory 30-60 minutes of briefing by the RSTA before the conduct of driving test has been incorporated.

eTest Introduced for conducting written driving test in Monggar, RSTA

The Road Safety and Transport Authority (RSTA), Monggar has introduced eTest (Online written test) for driving test from 2nd February, 2018. The objective is to reduce use of paper, increase work efficiency and reduce turn around time in issuance of driving license. It is also aimed to curb the existence of favoritism and nepotism culture as speculated by general public in issuance of driving license.

All Traffic Police Personnel under Monggar Jurisdiction are now trained to use eRaLIS and Online Services of RSTA

All Traffic Police Personnel in Monggar - Yadi, Gyelposhing, Trashigang - Kanglung, Rangjung, Wamrong, Lhuntse and Trashiyangtse has been trained to use eRaLIS and Online Services of RSTA. They will be able to check vehicle or driving license details and also update offense records into the system. They will be able to trace contact address and mobile number of the vehicle owner and driving license holder during emergencies, accidents and when vehicles are left unattended for so long or when the traffic/way obstruction has occurred. 

They are also taught on online services of RSTA and will able to use and/or advocate on online payment facilities for payment of fines and penalties and many more. The training was conducted to achieve optimum use of ICT in providing easy and prompt public service and create an efficient and effective working environment for all.

All Traffic Police Personnel in Samdrupjongkhar, Pemagatshel, Nganglam, Jomotshangkha and Samdrupchholing has been trained to use eRaLIS and Online Services of RSTA. Now they will be able to check vehicle or driving license details, enter and update offense records into the system. Also, they will be able to trace contact address and mobile number of the vehicle owner and driving license holder during emergencies, accidents and when vehicles are left unattended for so long or when the traffic/way obstruction has occurred. 

They are also taught on online services of RSTA and will able to use and/or advocate on online payment facilities for payment of fines and penalties after the issuance of Traffic Infringement Notice (TIN) and many more. They will now update the offense records into system within 24 hours. The training was conducted to achieve optimum use of ICT in providing easy and prompt public service and create an efficient working environment for all.
